I (Phillipp) have always been a hands-on guy. My career started with an apprenticeship in aircraft engineering. After several years, I went into the construction and renovation industry. Ultimately I did jobs from start to finish and was known to have the patients for the final touch. Since 2015 I have been a full-time Farrier, but this chapter of my life is slowly coming to an end. My business partner is Darryl Jansen, who is owner of Hold Fast Milling and Design. He’s an extraordinary craftsman and is extremely talented in woodworking. He has spent his entire career in the construction industry and is extremely well versed in all aspects of building a home.

Our vision is to create affordable quality homes out in nature. We have the ability to go all the way from a simple quality set up to decked out five star homes. Our dream came about when my wife Becca and I were looking to move from our RV into a more suitable long-term home for us. We found lots of scammers out there that take your down payment and leave you stranded. On the flip side we found tiny homes for the price of double wide modular homes as well. There wasn’t much in between. We were originally discouraged by our findings, but in this process a concept was born: TEXAS OUTDOOR HOMES LLC.

My good friend, father figure and mentor Kris Harrison took the time to share with me that I won’t be able to stay a Farrier for life. Texas Outdoor Homes would be a great way to use Darryl and my skills to provide homes for many people at an affordable price.

Our new home will be a prototype with lots of windows and natural light. We love nature and spend most of our time outside working as farriers together and riding our horses, gardening etc. That is why we don’t need a large home and opted for a 12’ by 32’ Texas Outdoor Home all for the price of a pick up truck!
